Jesus And The Nursery (song)

I've been away at Challenge 2010 for the past week, which was in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the long ride in a van, creative brain power was put to the test in order to stave off boredom. So, one of the resulting creations was this composition, Jesus And The Nursery.
The people involved: Colton Carr, Kristen Schuler, Sam Johnson, Rob Nichols, Philip Iekel, and I. (if any of you read this, I'm sorry if I spelled your name wrong)

Hey diddle diddle the cat and the fiddle
The cow jumped over the moon
The little boy laughed to see such a sight
And the dish ran away with the spoon

Cause God made the world
And God made the moon
And God made the cow
And He made the little boy too

Mary had a little lamb
Whose fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
That lamb was sure to go

Cause Jesus was the Lamb of God
And His heart was white as snow
And God sent down His only son
To save the world we know

The itsy bitsy spider went up the waterspout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Up came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again

Cause up on the cross He died
And then down to the tomb
And on the third day He rose again
To give life to me and you

Hallelujah, hallelujah, Hey hey hey, Good…. bye

Each nursery rhyme was actually used for a purpose, and the following verses about God referenced them. The fiddle verse was about creation, using the moon, cow and boy. The Mary verse could have been used a number of ways, but we used the heart as white as snow approach, to symbolize no sin. The itsy bitsy part is perhaps the most difficult to get. The spider goes up, then down, then up again, whereas Jesus was up on the cross, then down to the tomb, and then up again at His resurrection.

And then we stuck the ending on just for funsies :-)
